About Me

I am an artist at heart–not the kind who can paint (though I’ve tried, but not succeeded)– but more in a girl who writes a ton-is curious beyond belief-observes everything around her-adores photography-couldn’t live without her guitar/piano sort of way.  I love to try new things and, if I had time in my life, you would probably find me crafting new things from old junk (beautiful junk) on a frequent basis. I relish in books and am normally not reading any less than three at a time. I’m an avid tea and coffee drinker, it calms my soul every time I take a sip. I have an addiction to sweaters/cardigans, and I love giving gifts. I’m the kind of girl who sits in her car until a song she loves has come to its full completion. I have an adoration for cities, and diversity, and I praise God for everything He created us to be, and how our differences make life so beautiful. If I could spend my life writing, and singing, and making music, and raising babies, I would (and hope to someday), but now is not that time. Currently, I am a cardiac nurse, and am learning to love being right where I am.

I recently was married, in July of 2011, which has been the best thing, the hardest thing, and the most beautiful thing I have ever been a part of. We are still learning in this process, but I am married to a man that I cannot wait to share all of my life with forever. I cannot wait to see where this crazy life takes us!

I love people. I love hearing what they have to say and figuring out what they believe. I also love the world and hope to travel to its farthest lands during the span of my life. My biggest passion is serving Christ with my life, especially among the most desperate of the world. I’m trying to figure out daily what the Holy Spirit wants to do in and through me, and I only hope that I will be made more holy in the process of taking His lead.

Psalm 139: 23 and 24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
